This is for Jordan, and has nothing to do with previous blogs :
How is Alan Dershowitz handling the plagiarism charge that engulfed him last year. I know that he is the Felix Frankfurter chair at Harvard, but he wrote a book called “The Case for Israel”, and debated a professor from DePaul named Norman Finkelstein who charged him with plagiarism (from a heavily crtiticized book titled “From Time Immemorial” , by Joan Peters), and Finkelstein put the plagiarized passages on his website www.normalfinkelstein.com . I am just wondering what his status is at the moment.

I don’t really know much about how he’s handling it. I assume he’s doing fine. From what I know about him, he seems to like publicity, maybe even if it’s bad. I know plagiarism charges can seriously damage an academic’s professional rep, but I’m not sure how much it would effect him. He would probably still be sought after to represent high profile defendants; he probably still is called upon to give commentary to newshows and papers; he can still write his novels; and he still has tenure.
