Here are a couple more political matrices out on the web and my results:
First, the Politics Test which is actually a dating site. The matrix itself is almost exactly the same setup as the Political Compass I laid out in the previous post except the axes are flipped so that Government control over Economics and Social issues are down and left respectively. Apparently according to this one, I’m a Centrist (Yuck!) but just barely not a Republican. What I love about this one is the labels which are laid out covering sprawling sections of the axes. However, Fascist is clearly labeled as just past Republican, but Communism is missing entirely. Only Anarchy gets a symbol.
| You are a
You are best described as a:
|You Are a “Don’t Tread On Me” Libertarian|
You distrust the government, are fiercely independent, and don’t belong in either party.
Religion and politics should never mix, in your opinion… and you feel opressed by both.
You don’t want the government to cramp your self made style. Or anyone else’s for that matter.
You’re proud to say that you’re pro-choice on absolutely everything!
Update: Here’s another one. Again, essentially the same matrix, just way less questions. Actually like this one. Very concise. Foreign policy issues are almost completely left out which I think is appropriate, since your political ideals on foreign policy should reasonably be tied to what country you live in, thus taking away the potential “universality” of a political quiz. Apparently on the World’s Smallest Political Quiz, I’m a RAGING Libertarian, mostly because all of the issues that Libertarians and Conservatives (abortion, gay marriage, Military policy, etc.) disagree on, are taken completely out of the equation. Pretty convenient recruiting tool for the Libertarians:
