Recent research is indicating that it’s not just mothers that have physical changes as a result of pregnancy….us dads are changing too. Here’s an excerpt:

There’s also preliminary but tantalizing evidence that fatherhood can change the brain. A 2006 study found enhancements in the prefrontal cortex of the father marmoset. After childbirth, the neurons in this region showed greater connectivity, suggesting that having young children could boost the part of the brain responsible for planning and memory, skills parents need when having kids gives them more to keep track of. The neurons also had more receptors for vasopressin, a hormone that has been shown to prompt animal fathers to bond with offspring.

The article also mentions that such research is sparse, especially in relation to the voluminous research on moms. We matter too, right?

  • Rip,

Now we’re in my kind of territory. Don’t feel bad about the paucity of studies on paternal behavior. In just about every other line of research, studies are predominantly carried out on males.

  • I guess I can understand why more studies of this type feature women – it’s slightly more important that they are growing a new life than the changes to my prefrontal cortex.

  • Good News!! I had body building stretch marks and my wife had pregnancy stretch marks. We used this product http://www.stretchmarktreatment.net and it worked. I have tried so many products and treatments but none really worked. Believe me, this is not marketing talk, I genuinely want to share this information with you guys. I won’t make a cent out of this.

They have very limited production and eventhough I cannot vouch whether it will work for every single person, it is definitely worth a try. Very reasonable pricing. Best thing, its 30 days money back guarantee!
